U.S. unemployment rate hits a five-year high

The nation's unemployment rate zoomed to a five-year high of 6.1 percent in August as employers slashed 84,000 jobs, the government said Friday.

- Amen to that. You can add to that all of the awards and this and that of the year, decade, etc. Just shows us that there are still alot of "yes" people in his world that think it is ok to give awards to those without morals. I too am tired of all the press.

Are you for real? This administration, of which John McCain has been a part for over 1/4 century has managed to totally devastate our national economy! Are you personally, better off today than 8 years ago, if so, then go ahead and vote for the GOP. Our national debt, which was balanced when they took office is more than tripled within this administration. The debt totals more than the debts accumulated by ALL PREVIOUS PRESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATIONS combined. Did you know that? I plan to vote for someone who has been consistently on the message, calm, collected and who I think will manage any emergency in the same fashion and not like his opponent.
